Don't feel like spending $150 for RB adapters. Legacy OEMs are only $50 at Advanced Auto. Will legys brackets fit the fox hub?

brackets fit but YOU MUST get Legacy pads or WRX 2002/3 pads, tabs are different. The Legacy pads will fit the Forester calipers though.

Recap H6 upgrade needed:

- Legacy Rear Rotor 2000-2004 (any model, does not have to be the H6 or GT)
- Legacy Bracket 2000-2004 (any model, does not have to be the H6 or GT)
- Legacy Pads 2000 - 2004 or 2002-2003 WRX (2004+ WRX will not fit)
- Forester Calipers

"These adapters will allow you to install the FHI red two pot rear calipers on cars with the factory single calipers. Does not require removal of the backing plates."

Well for one thing those adapters don't require removal of the backing plates.

... This looks like a good deal as well, depending on what brand the rotors are.

There are two different upgrades to the rear brakes (three if you include the STi Brembo but that is very involved)

The legacy rotor upgrade, which gives you a solid rear rotor that is larger in diameter by about 1/2 inch. This requires the rotor, caliper bracket to relocate the existing caliper out the 1/2" and pads to fit in the new bracket. With this you will need to remove or bend back the splash guard.

The Kartboy brackets will allow you to use the existing backing plate and then install some two pot calipers and vented (not solid) rear rotors. Here you get the larger diameter like the legacy rear upgrade with a vented rotor and 2 pot calipers.

Keep in mind that the majority of your stopping is coming from the front brakes, for a regular street car spending a ton on upgrading the rear brakes isn't the best use of your money IMHO. I went with 4 pots in the front and the Legacy upgrade in the rear with better brake pads and (most importantly to stopping) better rubber. Just upgrading your tires to good rubber will greatly improve your ability to stop. Although the two pots in the rear do look *****en I have to say.

I hear what you're staying on the rear brake upgrade Peaty.

Since I'm replacing all 4 pads and rotors anyway I'll just be out the cost of the adapters.

Hoping to get better trail braking and less dive rather than a decrease in stopping distance.

Heck when I bought the car at 60K the brakes were pulsing so anything is going to be a huge upgrade!
